Why "What"?

We are commonly asked about our branding. On November 11, 2022, FTX imploded. After a few days of silence, Sam Bankman-Fried awkwardly broke his silence with an infamous tweet that no one understood:

Our logo is a vector of SBF's afro. Our colors are the same 'teal' color code as FTX's. Our "built by traders, owned by degens" motto mimics that of FTX. We are not praising Sam... we are trolling him. He and FTX represented everything bad about traditional finance seeping into crypto: centralization, corruption, greed, and control. Our unofficial motto is, "doing everything right that Sam did wrong."

We are here to build a transparent and community-focused ecosystem. Our branding is designed to ensure that we never forget that.
